1And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,
1And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,
2This month [shall be] to you the beginning of months: it is the first to you among the months of the year .
2This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.
3Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, On the tenth of this month let them take each man a lambaccording to the houses of their families, every man a lamb for his household.
3Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:
4And if they be few in a household, so that there are not enough for the lamb, he shall take with himself his neighbor that lives near to him, —as to the number of souls, every one according to that which suffices him shall make a reckoning for the lamb.
4And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.
5It shall be to you a lamb unblemished, a male of a year old: you⌃ shall take it of the lambs and the kids.
5Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:
6And it shall be kept by you till the fourteenth of this month, and all the multitude of the congregation of the children of Israel shall kill it toward evening.
6And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.
7And they shall take of the blood, and shall put it on the two door-posts, and on the lintel, in the houses in which soever they shall eat them.
7And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.
8And they shall eat the flesh in this nightroast with fire, and they shall eat unleavened [bread] with bitter herbs .

9You⌃ shall not eat of it rawnor sodden in water, but only roast with fire, the head with the feet and the appurtenances.
9Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.
10Nothing shall be left of it till the morning, and a bone of it you⌃ shall not break; but that which is left of it till the morning you⌃ shall burn with fire.
10And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.
11And thus shall you⌃ eat it: your loins girded, and your sandals on your feet, and your staves in your hands, and you⌃ shall eat it in haste. It is a passover to the Lord.
11And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the Lord’s passover.
12and I will go throughout the land of Egypt in that night, and will strike every firstborn in the land of Egyptboth man and beast, and on all the gods of Egypt will I execute vengeance: I [am] the Lord.
12For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord.
13And the blood shall be for a sign to you on the houses in which you⌃ are, and I will see the blood, and will protect you, and there shall not be on you the plague of destruction, when I strike in the land of Egypt.
13And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.
14And this day shall be to you a memorial, and you⌃ shall keep it a feast to the Lord through all your generations; you⌃ shall keep it a feast for a perpetual ordinance .
14And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the Lord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.
15Seven days you⌃ shall eat unleavened bread, and from the first day you⌃ shall utterly remove leaven from your houses: whoever shall eat leaven, that soul shall be utterly destroyed from Israel, from the first day until the seventh day.
15Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.
16And the first day shall be called holy , and the seventh day shall be a holy convocation to you: you⌃ shall do no servile work on them, only as many things as will [necessarily] be done by every soul, this only shall be done by you.
16And in the first day there shall be an holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you.
17And you⌃ shall keep this commandment, for on this day will I bring out your force out of the land of Egypt; and you⌃ shall make this day a perpetual ordinance for you throughout your generations .
17And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever.
18Beginning the fourteenth day of the first month , you⌃ shall eat unleavened bread from evening, till the twenty-first day of the month, till evening.
18In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even.
19Seven days leaven shall not be found in your houses; whoever shall eat anything leavened, that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, both among the occupiers of the land and the original inhabitants.
19Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land.
20You⌃ shall eat nothing leavened, but in every habitation of yours you⌃ shall eat unleavened bread.
20Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall ye eat unleavened bread.
21And Moses called all the elders of the children of Israel, and said to them, Go away and take to yourselves a lamb according to your kindred, and kill the passover.
21Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover.
22And you⌃ shall take a bunch of hyssop, and having dipped it into some of the blood that is by the door, you⌃ shall touch the lintel, and [shall put it] upon both door-posts, even of the blood which is by the door; but you⌃ shall not go out every one from the door of his house till the morning.
22And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.
23And the Lord shall pass by to strike the Egyptians, and shall see the blood upon the lintel, and upon both the door-posts; and the Lord shall pass by the door, and shall not suffer the destroyer to enter into your houses to strike [you].
23For the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the Lord will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.
24And keep you⌃ this thing as an ordinance for yourself and for your children for ever.
24And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons for ever.
25And if you⌃ should enter into the land, which the Lord shall give you, as he has spoken, keep this service.
25And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which the Lord will give you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this service.
26And it shall come to pass, if your sons say to you, What is this service?
26And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service?
27that you⌃ shall say to them, This passover is a sacrifice to the Lord, as he defended the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he struck the Egyptians, but delivered our houses.
27That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the Lord’s passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.
28And the people bowed and worshipped. And the children of Israel departed and did as the Lord commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.

29And it came to passat midnight that the Lord struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharao that sat on the throne, to the firstborn of the captive-maid in the dungeon, and the firstborn of all cattle.

30And Pharao rose up by night, and his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in all the land of Egypt, for there was not a house in which there was not one dead.

31And Pharao called Moses and Aaron by night, and said to them, Rise and depart from my people, both you⌃ and the children of Israel. Go and serve the Lord your God, even as you⌃ say.
31And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve the Lord, as ye have said.
32And take with you your sheep, and your oxen: bless me also, I pray you.
32Also take your flocks and your herds, as ye have said, and be gone; and bless me also.
33And the Egyptians constrained the people, so that they cast them out of the land with haste, for they said, We all shall die.
33And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste; for they said, We be all dead men.
34And the people took their dough before their meal was leavened, bound up [as it was] in their garments, on their shoulders.

40And the sojourning of the children of Israel, while they sojourned in the land of Egypt and the land of Chanaan, [was] four hundred and thirty years.
40Now the sojourning of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years.
41And it came to pass after the four hundred and thirty years, all the forces of the Lord came forth out of the land of Egypt by night.

42It is a watch kept to the Lord, so that he should bring them out of the land of Egypt; that very night is a watch kept to the Lord, so that it should be to all the children of Israel to their generations.
42It is a night to be much observed unto the Lord for bringing them out from the land of Egypt: this is that night of the Lord to be observed of all the children of Israel in their generations.
43And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, This is the law of the passover: no stranger shall eat of it.

44And every slave or servant bought with money—him you shall circumcise, and then shall he eat of it.

45A sojourner or hireling shall not eat of it.
45A foreigner and an hired servant shall not eat thereof.
46In one house shall it be eaten, and you⌃ shall not carry of the flesh out from the house; and a bone of it you⌃ shall not break .

47All the congregation of the children of Israel shall keep it.

48And if any proselyte shall come to you to keep the passover to the Lord, you shall circumcise every male of him, and then shall he approach to sacrifice it, and he shall be even as the original inhabitant of the land; no uncircumcised person shall eat of it.
48And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the passover to the Lord, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof.
49There shall be one law to the native, and to the proselyte coming among you.
49One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.
50And the children of Israel did as the Lord commanded Moses and Aaron for them, so they did .
50Thus did all the children of Israel; as the Lord commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.
51And it came to pass in that daythat the Lord brought out the children of Israel from the land of Egypt with their forces.
51And it came to pass the selfsame day, that the Lord did bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies.
