1(110) A Psalm of David. The Lord said to my Lord, Sit you on my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.
1For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David. God of my praise, don’t remain silent,
2The Lord shall send out a rod of power for you out of Sion: rule you in the midst of your enemies.
2for they have opened the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of deceit against me. They have spoken to me with a lying tongue.
3With you is dominion in the day of your power, in the splendors of your saints: I have begotten you from the womb before the morning.
3They have also surrounded me with words of hatred, and fought against me without a cause.
4The Lord swore, and will not repent, You are a priest for ever, after the order of Melchisedec.
4In return for my love, they are my adversaries; but I am in prayer.
5The Lord at your right hand has dashed in pieces kings in the day of his wrath.
5They have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.
6He shall judge among the nations, he shall fill up [the number of] corpses, he shall crush the heads of many on the earth.
6Set a wicked man over him. Let an adversary stand at his right hand.
7He shall drink of the brook in the way; therefore shall he lift up the head.
7When he is judged, let him come out guilty. Let his prayer be turned into sin.
