1(112) Alleluia. Blessed is the man that fears the Lord: he will delight greatly in his commandments.
1Praise Yah! I will give thanks to Yahweh with my whole heart, in the council of the upright, and in the congregation.
2His seed shall be mighty in the earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.
2Yahweh’s works are great, pondered by all those who delight in them.
3Glory and riches shall be in his house; and his righteousness endures for evermore.
3His work is honor and majesty. His righteousness endures forever.
4To the upright light has sprung up in darkness: he is pitiful, and merciful, and righteous.
4He has caused his wonderful works to be remembered. Yahweh is gracious and merciful.
5The good man is he that pities and lends: he will direct his affairs with judgment.
5He has given food to those who fear him. He always remembers his covenant.
6For he shall not be moved for ever; the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.
6He has shown his people the power of his works, in giving them the heritage of the nations.
7He shall not be afraid of [any] evil report: his heart is ready to trust in the Lord.
7The works of his hands are truth and justice. All his precepts are sure.
8His heart is established, he shall not fear, till he shall see [his desire] upon his enemies.
8They are established forever and ever. They are done in truth and uprightness.
9He has dispersed abroad; he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures for evermore: his horn shall be exalted with honor.
9He has sent redemption to his people. He has ordained his covenant forever. His name is holy and awesome!
10The sinner shall see and be angry, he shall gnash his teeth, and consume away: the desire of the sinner shall perish.
10The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. All those who do his work have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!
