¹(122) A Song of Degrees. I was glad when they said to me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.

¹A Song of Ascents. I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from?

²Our feet stood in your courts, O Jerusalem.

²My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth.

³Jerusalem is built as a city whose fellowship is complete.

³He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber.

⁴For there the tribes went up, the tribes of the Lord, as a testimony for Israel, to give thanks to the name of the Lord.

⁴Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.

⁵For there are set thrones for judgment, [even] thrones for the house of David.

⁵Yahweh is your keeper. Yahweh is your shade on your right hand.

⁶Pray now for the peace of Jerusalem: and [let there be] prosperity to them that love you .

⁶The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.

⁷Let peace, I pray, be within your host, and prosperity in your palaces.

⁷Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul.

⁸For the sake of my brethren and my neighbors, I have indeed spoken peace concerning you.

⁸Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more.
