¹(25) A Psalm of David. To you, O Lord, have I lifted up my soul.

¹The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

²O my God, I have trusted in you: let me not be confounded, neither let my enemies laugh me to scorn.

²For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

³For none of them that wait on you shall in any wise be ashamed: let them be ashamed that transgress without cause.

³Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?

⁴Show me your ways, O Lord; and teach me your paths.

⁴He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

⁵Lead me in your truth, and teach me: for you are God my Saviour: and I have waited on you all the day.

⁵He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

⁶Remember your compassions, O Lord, and your mercies, for they are from everlasting.

⁶This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.

⁷Remember not the sins of my youth, nor [my sins] of ignorance: remember me according to your mercy, for your goodness' sake, O Lord.

⁷Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

⁸Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will he instruct sinners in [the] way.

⁸Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.

⁹The meek will he guide in judgment: the meek will he teach his ways.

⁹Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

¹⁰All the ways of the Lord are mercy and truth to them that seek his covenant and his testimonies.

¹⁰Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.
